Swiggy Instamart brings interactive festive pot to celebrate Pongal in Chennai

Swiggy Instamart introduced an interactive Pongal pot installation at Express Avenue Mall in Chennai from January 14 to 17, 2025. The life-sized installation blends the Pongal tradition of overflowing milk with voice-activated technology, allowing visitors to participate in a unique celebration.

Visitors can activate the installation by shouting “Pongalo Pongal!” The pot responds by dispensing a gift for each interaction. The voice recognition system detects the festive shout and triggers the dispensing mechanism, offering a new take on the clay pot associated with Pongal traditions.
