OpenAI has announced the beta launch of “Tasks,” a new feature for ChatGPT that directly challenges the likes of Apple’s Siri and Amazon’s Alexa. This beta feature allows users to schedule reminders, updates, and alerts through natural language prompts.

The Tasks feature enables ChatGPT to perform various tasks at specified times. Users can request one-time alerts such as concert ticket sales or set recurring actions like daily weather updates and weekly news briefings.
