US soldier linked to Trump-Harris phone tapping tried to sell sensitive BSNL data for just $5,000: Report
An arrest in Texas has revealed a connection between an American soldier, Cameron John Wagenius, and a major data breach at India’s state-owned telecom company, BSNL, as reported by HT. Wagenius, a communications specialist stationed in South Korea, was apprehended on December 20 for attempting to sell hacked data from US telecom firms. As told to HT, cybersecurity analysts now suggest that he is the dark web figure “kiberphant0m,” who, in May 2024, tried to sell a massive 278 GB of sensitive data from BSNL for just $5,000.
