Diablo veterans set up studio to develop new action RPG, secures $4.5 million funding

Moon Beast Productions, a new development studio founded by Diablo veterans, has secured $4.5 million in seed funding. The studio aims to develop a new action RPG. The studio was founded in 2021 by industry veterans who worked on Diablo 1 and 2. With the recent success of Diablo 4 and Path of Exile 2, the action RPG genre is also experiencing a resurgence. Moon Beast Productions has secured seed funding from prominent investors including 1AM Gaming, 1UP Ventures, Overwolf, and a network of angel investors such as Gaingels, Cohh Carnage, and Zynga founder Mark Pincus.
