Subscribers return to private telcos amid BSNL’s network challenges

KOLKATA: Price-sensitive mobile users of Bharti Airtel, Reliance Jio and Vodafone Idea (Vi) who had ported out in droves to Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL)—which did not raise prices in July—are swiftly returning to India’s top two telcos amid the state-run carrier’s network quality challenges and absence of a comparable 4G operation, analysts and retailers said.
