Airtel urges Trai to regulate OTTs to combat spam surge

Kolkata: Bharti Airtel has called on the sector regulator to expedite a string of fire-fighting measures such as scrubbing and user verification to counter spam and online fraud perpetrated via over-the-top (OTT) platforms such as WhatsApp, Telegram and Signal on telecom networks.
