Samsung debuts technology that lets you watch live TV without set-top-box — but there’s a catch

Samsung has introduced a new technology called ‘TVKey Cloud’ that lets you watch live and on-demand TV without the need for a set-top box. The technology has been developed in collaboration with Nagravision to provide a clutter-free, seamless, and modern TV experience on existing smart televisions with the caveat that it works only with select Samsung TVs.

The TVKey Cloud technology is designed to simplify live TV viewing. By eliminating the need for set-top boxes and additional cables, users can access live and on-demand content with just a single Samsung Smart TV remote, the company said in a statement sent over email.
