Google confronted significant internal reservations about its cloud computing contract with Israel, fearing potential human rights violations, according to documents exclusively reviewed by The New York Times.
Internal documents disclosed that Google’s legal and policy teams harbored deep concerns about Project Nimbus, warning that “Google Cloud services could be used for, or linked to, the facilitation of human rights violations, including Israeli activity in the West Bank.”
