French court orders complete ban on these popular adult websites; but leaves a technical loophole

In a recent effort to protect minors, the Paris Court of Appeal had reportedly ordered French internet service providers (ISPs) to block four pornographic websites lacking robust age verification systems. According to a report in Tech Crunch, “When the Paris Court of Appeal recently blocked four porn sites in France for not having a proper age verification system, the two online child protection nonprofits that had pushed for the blocks probably thought they’d scored a big victory.
