Actor-director Ben Affleck believes artificial intelligence poses little threat to creative filmmaking, arguing that movies will be “one of the last things, if everything gets replaced, to be replaced by AI.”
Speaking at CNBC’s Delivering Alpha 2024 investor summit, Affleck explained that while AI can imitate existing work, it lacks true creative capability. “AI can write you excellent imitative verse that sounds Elizabethan. It cannot write you Shakespeare,” he said.
