Cyber slavery poses a significant risk to educated job seekers from TN: Protector of Emigrants
COIMBATORE: M Rajkumar, the Protector of Emigrants (PoE) for Tamil Nadu and Puducherry said that a trend of cyber slavery is posing a significant risk to educated job seekers from Tamil Nadu. He was speaking during a workshop for journalists at the Press Information Bureau in Coimbatore on Monday.
He said many fraudulent companies are operating near the borders of Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar and they are referred to as the Golden Triangle. They lure job seekers through phone calls, and WhatsApp interviews, promising positions in data entry, customer care, and computer-related work.
