Eight years later, Nintendo Switch still has life before successor’s debut

Nintendo’s original Switch console continues to demonstrate remarkable market resilience in its eighth year, even as the company remains quiet about its successor. The Japanese console maker revealed Tuesday that it sold 4.72 million Switch units (including the original one’s OLED reitration) in the six months ending September 30, maintaining strong sales despite being in its twilight years.
