Google may soon make this Android file sharing feature available on iPhone, Mac
Google’s Quick Share file-transfer service may soon be available for iPhone and Mac users. A recent code change that was discovered in the project’s source code repository suggests that this feature will allow users to easily share files between Android and Apple devices. Quick Share, introduced in 2020, utilizes a local network connection to quickly transfer files between devices and works only between Android and Windows devices. It comes pre-installed on most Android phones and Chromebooks and can be easily installed on Windows PCs. However, iOS and macOS users have been unable to utilise this convenient feature. The recent code changes suggest that Google is actively working to expand Quick Share’s compatibility to include Apple’s operating systems.
