Dropbox is laying off 528 employees, representing 20% of its global workforce. CEO Drew Houston, informed the company about the layoffs in an email, attributing the cuts to a need for greater efficiency and a “flatter” organisational structure. The reductions are focused on areas deemed “over-invested or underperforming.”
This marks the second significant round of layoffs for the cloud storage and collaboration company, following a 16% reduction in staff in April 2023.
