French ambassador’s phone stolen at Chandni Chowk, traced and returned

French Ambassador to India Thierry Mathou’s mobile phone was stolen during the pre-Diwali rush at Chandni Chowk last week. In a complaint filed online he said that his phone was stolen at the bustling market near the Jain Temple around 3.20 pm on October 20.

The stolen phone was later recovered and returned to the ambassador, the police said, adding that they have apprehended two suspects.
