German giant Siemens may make its biggest-ever acquisition with this US engineering software giant

Industrial conglomerate Siemens AG is reportedly exploring a potential acquisition of Altair Engineering Inc, a leading provider of engineering software. According to a report in Bloomberg, quoting sources familiar with the matter, this move, if finalized, would mark one of Siemens’ largest acquisitions to date.
The report said that Siemens has been actively working with advisors to assess the feasibility of acquiring Altair, which is headquartered in Troy, Michigan.
