Airtel, Reliance Jio and Vodafone-Idea once again call for regulation of WhatsApp, Telegram, Google Meet and other apps

Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI), who members include Airtel, Reliance Jio and Vodafone-Idea, have once again called for regulation of OTT apps including WhatsApp, Telegram, Google Meet and others.
During the inaugural session of India Mobile Congress in New Delhi, COAI Director General SP Kochhar said that the government needs to implement stricter regulations governing the entry and exit of data from domestic telecom networks, including those used by Over-The-Top (OTT) platforms.
