    India to allot satellite internet spectrum via administrative method, says telecom minister Jyotiraditya Scindia

    Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said that India will administratively allocate spectrum for satellite communication, as laid down in the Telecommunications Act, 2023. This is being seen as a blow to Reliance Jio, which has been calling for an auction of the spectrum, and a win for the likes of Elon Musk’s Starlink and Amazon’s Kuiper.
