Why ChatGPT maker OpenAI is at fight with Open AI

OpenAI, the artificial intelligence company behind ChatGPT, is embroiled in a legal battle with a lesser-known AI company called Open AI, helmed by a man named Guy Ravine. The dispute centres on the rights to the name “Open AI” and the vision for open-source artificial intelligence.
According to a Bloomberg report, OpenAI filed a lawsuit against Ravine’s Open AI in August 2023, alleging trademark infringement and attempting to prevent Ravine from using the name.
