Facebook and Instagram outage: Services restored after disruption affecting users worldwide

Meta-owned social media platforms – Facebook and Instagram are back up after an outage impacting thousands of users worldwide. According to outage tracking website Downdetector.com, more than 12,000 incidents of people reporting issues with Facebook and over 5,000 reports of issues with Instagram at around 1:40 p.m. ET (11:10pm IST).
