Google For India 2024: How Google aims to protect users from online threats

Google held the 10th Google For India event on October 3 where it unveiled a bunch of AI updates for its various products and services. Among these announcements, the tech giant said that, next year, it will establish a new Google Safety Engineering Center (GSEC) that will boost online safety for users in India.
According to the company, this dedicated centre will serve as a hub for Google’s safety engineers, local policy experts, and government partners to collaborate on enhancing online security measures across the country.
The GSEC will focus on protecting users from online threats, strengthening security for businesses and government agencies, and driving cutting-edge research in the field.
