Gmail app on Android and iOS is getting Google’s blue verification checkmarks: Here’s how it’ll affect users

Google is expanding its email security features by introducing blue verification checkmarks to Gmail apps on iOS and Android devices. The feature aims to help users identify legitimate senders and combat phishing attempts.
The blue checkmarks, part of Google’s Brand Indicators for Message Identification (BIMI) system, will appear next to the sender’s name for emails from organisations that have successfully adopted BIMI certification and possess a registered trademark.
