‘No reason to be apprehensive’: Trai assures telcos on new regime

New Delhi: The telecom regulator has sought to allay fears of operators over the proposed mechanism that could replace the current contractual agreement between the carriers and the government, with chairman AK Lahoti saying the state cannot unilaterally change rules and regulations, and that enough safeguards have been proposed to protect the interests of telcos.
