Apple unveils iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, price starts from Rs 79,900 and Rs 89,900 respectively

At the ‘I’s Glowtime’ event in Apple Park, Cupertino, California, the tech giant unveiled the iPhone 16 and the iPhone 16 Plus. The latest iPhones from Apple are powered by the in-house A18 Bionic chipset. The new A18 chipset consists of two performance cores along with four efficiency cores, which the company claims is 30 per cent faster and more power efficient than the iPhone 15.

Apple has also updated the GPU, which it says is 40 per cent faster than the iPhone 15’s A16 chipset. The vanilla iPhone 16 comes with a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED screen whereas the iPhone 16 Plus boasts a 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED screen. While both phones can go up to 2,000 nits brightness under direct sunlight, they still have a 60Hz refresh rate.
