Salesforce to buy data protection provider Own Company in $1.9 bn deal

NEW DELHI: Enterprise cloud provider Salesforce has signed an agreement to acquire data protection and data management provider Own Company in a $1.9 billion deal. The acquisition comes at a time when customers are increasingly focused on mitigating data loss due to system failures, human error, and cyberattacks, especially in the artificial intelligence (AI) era.
