French judges indict Telegram CEO over alleged criminal activity; gets bail

Telegram CEO Pavel Durov has been granted bail by French judiciary after being indicted on charges of enabling criminal activity on his messaging platform.

The bail conditions include paying a deposit of 5 million euros, reporting to the police twice a week, and not leaving France, news agency Reuters reported.

The charges, which include allegations of facilitating child sexual abuse material and drug trafficking, come after a four-day detention and questioning at Le Bourget airport.
