AGR case: Supreme Court to hear telcos’ curative petition on Friday

The Supreme Court will hear on Friday a batch of curative petitions filed by various telecom companies including Vodafone Idea and Bharti Airtel, in the Adjusted Gross Revenue (AGR) case.

The curative pleas of Tata Teleservices, Sistema Shyam and Huges Communications are also listed before a bench comprising chief justice DY Chandrachud and Justices Sanjiv Khanna and BR Gavai. The matter is likely to be taken up on Friday in the chambers.

A curative petition is usually decided by judges in the chamber unless a specific request for an open court hearing is allowed. And almost all such petitions are rejected, say lawyers.
