Bharti Airtel, Reliance Jio and Vodafone Idea have special request from Nokia, Ericsson and other global vendors

Bharti Airtel, Reliance Jio, and Vodafone Idea (Vi) are reportedly pressing global equipment providers Nokia, Ericsson, and Samsung to absorb the recent increase in basic customs duty (BCD) on printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs). According to a report in Economic Times, the telecom companies argue that they cannot afford the additional 5% cost amid ongoing 4G and 5G network expansions.
