Tech heavyweights drive Sensex 450 pts higher, Nifty above 24,700
Following gains in global markets, Indian equity indices opened higher on Tuesday, led by IT stocks, amid continuing bets that the U.S. Federal Reserve will start cutting rates soon.
The BSE Sensex was trading 350 points higher at 80,775. The Nifty50 was up 110 points trading at 24,683 around 9:50 am.
