EU warns Elon Musk before his X interview with former US president Donald Trump

EU Commissioner Thierry Breton has warned Tesla CEO Elon Musk that the EU will watch for “spillovers” that violate the Digital Services Act in his interview with former US President Trump which will be livestreamed on social media platform X (earlier Twitter). In a letter seen by The Verge, Breton said that the EU will keep a lookout for “content that may incite violence, hate and racism in conjunction with major political – or societal – events around the world, including debates and interviews in the context of elections.”
