Apple introduces new “Distraction Control” feature for Safari users: Here’s how it works

Safari, the default browser on all Apple products, is getting a new feature called “Distraction Control”, which, as the name suggests, lets users remove distracting elements like the sign-in pop up, cookie preferences and newsletter banners.

Distraction Control can be used to hide the static content on a webpage, it cannot be used to permanently hide ads. Since it is not designed as an ad-blocker, even if you hide an ad, it will reappear as soon as you refresh the page. Other dynamic elements that pop-up randomly cannot be blocked as well.
