ChatGPT-maker OpenAI’s CEO Sam Altman shares “quick update” on AI safety

OpenAI has said that it is dedicated to making sure its powerful AI tools don’t cause harm. Responding to questions from US lawmakers, the company noted that its employees have ways to raise concerns about safety practices, Bloomberg reported. Separately, CEO Sam Altman also shared a few quick updates about safety at OpenAI.
The report says that the Microsoft-backed company reassured lawmakers of its commitment to safety after five senators raised questions about its policies in a letter addressed to Altman.
