Reddit CEO calls out Microsoft and other AI companies, says blocking them ‘a real pain in the a*s’

Reddit CEO Steve Huffman has called out Microsoft and other AI companies for using Reddit’s data to train their artificial intelligence models without permission or compensation. In a recent interview with The Verge, Huffman described efforts to block these companies as “a real pain in the ass.”
“We’ve had Microsoft, Anthropic, and Perplexity act as though all of the content on the internet is free for them to use,” Huffman told The Verge.
