NCLAT judge recuses from hearing Byju Raveendran’s plea against edtech’s bankruptcy order

Justice Sharad Kumar Sharma of the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) Monday recused from hearing an appeal filed by Byju’s cofounder Byju Raveendran challenging the insolvency proceedings against the edtech firm’s parent Think and Learn Pvt Ltd.

The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) had on July 16 admitted Think and Learn into insolvency over unpaid dues of Rs 158 crore related to sponsorship rights from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
