Xbox 360 store is shutting down today: Microsoft has ‘good news’ for users

Microsoft confirmed that the Xbox 360 marketplace will be shut down today (July 29) back in August 2023. This brings an end for Xbox console users to purchase new games, DLC, and other entertainment content from the Xbox 360 Store on the console and the Xbox 360 Marketplace. While the store remains accessible at the time of writing, users will no longer be able to buy games from the platform once it officially closes.
