Ribbon expects Vodafone Idea’s network spending, fiber deployments to drive India sales in H2

NEW DELHI: IP and optical network gear maker Ribbon Communications expects stronger fiber deployments and increased network spending by India’s third-largest telecom operator Vodafone Idea to propel its sales in double-digits in the second half of the year.

“We expect the business in India to grow approximately 30% in the second half versus the first half of the year on the strength of stronger fiber network deployments and long-awaited increased network spending by Vodafone Idea,” Bruce McClelland – President, Chief Executive Officer & Director of Ribbon Communications said during a Q2 2024 post-earnings call with analysts on Wednesday (July 24).
