Silicon Valley’s tech billionaires line up for Trump in new twist

Silicon Valley, in the traditionally Democratic state of California, seems to be flipping from Blue to Red as top names in the tech world come out in support of Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump. Experts said that the shift could be attributed to his more sympathetic policy positions when it comes to tax cuts, even as a second Trump term could see the antitrust crackdown on Big Tech firms intensify.

“In the last cycle, Silicon Valley came out strongly against Trump and consequently when he took office he was unsympathetic to their interests. This time around, he is getting some support and appears to be more open to their interests,” Peter Bendor-Samuel, CEO, Everest Group, told ET.
