8 arrested for duping Delhi man of Rs 91 lakh with promise of higher returns in trading

A WhatsApp group, a promise of higher returns in stock and cryptocurrency trading, and an alleged fraud of Rs 91 lakh — Delhi Police has busted a gang and arrested eight men, including a contractual bank staff, in a case of cybercrime.

Hemant Tiwari, DCP, Intelligence Fusion, and Strategic Operations (IFSO) unit, said that Sachin Bansal, the complainant, alleged he was cheated of Rs 91 lakh on the pretext of providing “handsome returns” in stocks and crypto trading.
