Windows 11 Notepad gets autocorrect and spell check after 41 years

Windows Notepad, the 41-year plain text editor, is getting some new features that will make it more useful for users who still prefer the old and simple user interface. While the addition of spell check and autocorrect functionalities won’t bring it up to the new and fancy text editors in terms of looks and features, they are a pretty useful addition to the barebones app we all are used to.

As you would expect, spell check works by showing a small wiggly red line under the word that the app thinks is misspelt while the autocorrect feature will automatically fix a word it thinks is a typo.
