New Delhi: State-run Mahanagar Telephone Nigam is nearing the end of its independent existence with the government close to finalising a Rs 30,000-crore debt restructuring, after which the entire operations will be transferred to Bharat Sanchar Nigam (BSNL).
Officials aware of the details told ET that while a call to officially close the company is yet to be taken, it will no longer function on its own.
