Telecom Diary: Can localisation revive Chinese Huawei, ZTE in India

NEW DELHI: The Indian telecom industry dynamics is poised to change as Chinese equipment is set to make a way into the telecom network market via joint venture (JV) arrangements with domestic companies.

This will foreshadow well for both – India’s local telecom firms who are spending negligibly on research and development (R&D) and losing contracts, as well as service entities who may be able to find technologically-proven and cost-effective alternatives yet again.
