Sony buys India TV rights for MLC
Culver Max Entertainment, which owns and operates Sony Sports Network, has acquired the exclusive India television rights for the 2024 season of the American T20 competition, Major League Cricket (MLC). JioCinema will continue to have the streaming rights for the tournament. The second edition of the T20 league will conmmence with reigning champions MI New York facing Seattle Orcas on Saturday. It will be live telecast in India.
The final is scheduled for July 29 in Texas. The MLC features six teams: Shah Rukh Khan’s Los Angeles Knight Riders, Mukesh Ambani’s MI New York, Anand Rajaraman’s San Francisco Unicorns, Satya Nadella’s Seattle Orcas, Chennai Super Kings-owned Texas Super Kings and Sanjay Govil’s Washington Freedom.
