Meta’s new tech can create 3D assets from text prompts within minutes

Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta has launched Meta 3D Gen, a new technology to create 3D assets with text prompts within a minute. Hyper-realistic video games or the Hulk in the Avengers movies are examples of 3D assets, which are essentially digital files representing objects in three-dimensional space.

This technology, announced on July 2, is based on two existing models of the company: AssetGen which generates 3D objects and TextureGen for its texturing. The company said this integration makes higher-quality 3D generation for immersive content than industry players.
