Amazon prepping ChatGPT rival ‘Metis’ AI chatbot, report says

Amidst the race of adopting AI, Amazon, the multinational tech company seems to be working on a new artificial intelligence chatbot.The proposed chatbot ‘Metis’ will be using retrieval-augmented generation to provide up-to-date information and automate tasks.

Metis is being manufactured to deliver text and image-based answers in a conversational manner. It is also expected to have the power to share links to source responses, suggest follow-up queries and generate images.
