How a retired engineer lost Rs 81 lakhs to fraudsters impersonating as CBI chief

In yet another incident of naive citizens falling victims to cyber criminals, a 68-year old retired engineer lost Rs 81 lakhs of his life savings. This time the fraudster impersonated as Mumbai CBI chief and threatened the engineer to arrest and freeze his assets. The scamster told the Pimple Saudagar resident that 24 complaints had been received against his number for illegal advertisements.
