WhatsApp announces screensharing with audio support to take on Zoom, Microsoft Teams

WhatsApp, a prominent player in the messaging and communication space owned by Meta, has announced a series of major updates to its calling features, positioning itself as a formidable competitor to platforms like Zoom and Microsoft Teams. These enhancements are set to roll out in the coming weeks, the company announced in a blog post.

Contrary to previous update wherein only the screen could be shared but there was no audio support, users can now share their screens along with audio. This feature is set to rival similar functionalities offered by Zoom and Teams.
