Agreeing on ministry of information and broadcasting (MIB) views that anybody registered as a distribution platform operator (DPO) shall be eligible to carry platform services channels, Trai has come out with its latest recommendations on the regulatory framework for the platform services. In its recommendations, Trai has said that MIB should be able to specify compliance structure to ensure that those providing platform services make full disclosure on ownership status and comply with the programme and advertising codes.
