Award of contracts without tenders

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a meeting held on October 15, 2020 with the officials of the communication ministry gave them a stern warning on non-utilization of fiber network created under the BharatNet project. He directed that all the departments of the government must make roadmap and rollout their services using BharatNet network in next two months.
