SaaS startup Clientell raises $2.5 million led by Blume Ventures
Clientell, a software provider of sales forecasting and pipeline assessment for enterprises, on Monday said it has raised $2.5 million (about Rs 20.9 crore) in seed funding led by Blume Ventures. Other investors, including Chiratae Ventures, Artha Venture Fund and Z5 Capital, also participated.
The funds raised will be used for strengthening the product and expanding the team, the early-stage startup said in a statement.
The Bengaluru-based company had previously raised $600,000 (about Rs 5 crore) from Chiratae Ventures and Artha Venture fund.
Clientell, a revenue operations startup, uses artificial intelligence (AI) to improve productivity, reduce costs of multiple tools and increase data quality at enterprises. It deploys custom forecasting processes and machine learning models for each customer.
The company’s users are primarily chief revenue officers and go-to-market (GTM) leaders using its AI-copilot to boost go-to-market execution and optimise pipeline governance and forecasting in sales. The startup is currently working with initial design partners and early adopters across growth-stage software as a service (SaaS) companies and large pharmaceutical companies, it said.
Clientell was founded by BITS Pilani alumni Saahil Dhaka and Neil Sarkar when they were in their final year of college in 2021. “When the world is talking about 10x developers we’re focused on bringing useful AI products to help 10x salespeople, CRM (customer relationship management) developers and GTM leaders,” said CEO Dhaka.
“Clientell is targeting the leaky revenue bucket and the lack of comprehensive revenue intelligence and predictability for enterprise sales teams,” said Sanjay Nath, founder and managing partner, Blume Ventures. “As AI penetrates different functions of the enterprise, an AI-first end-to-end connected approach will help sales teams to benefit immediately from deeper insights on their deals and revenue milestones.”
