HFCL bags Rs 80.92 cr fibre optics transmission system deal from DMRC
Homegrown telecom gear maker HFCL Tuesday said it has won Rs 80.92 crores contract from the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) Limited for the supply of fibre optics transmission system (FOTS).
“As part of this project win, HFCL will be setting up Fibre Optics Transmission System (FOTS) for the Delhi Metro Rail Project of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) Limited,” said HFCL in a statement.
The timeline to execute this order is approximately 35 months from the date of notice to proceed (NTP). The company also has to provide warranty support for about 24 months.
“The company will be involved in the design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of Fibre Optics Transmission System (FOTS) for three priority Corridors of Phase-IV of Delhi Metro Rail Project,” said HFCL.
In late March, HFCL also won a deal of Rs 282.61 crores from the Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation Limited (GMRCL). HFCL, under the deal, will be setting up telecommunication systems for the Surat Metro Rail Project Phase-I within ninety weeks from the date of the contract.
